They do not fit right, at least every single one I have seen needs some mods/bending/grinding/swearing to get it to fit and hold the covers on correctly.

Pat, I have to disagree. I had to bend and swear, but I didn't have to grind. Well..wait, that isn't technically correct. I used a flat file to touch up the plastic tab on the right side faux cover so it would go more easily into the rubber grommet hole. So, I guess you are right. The instruction sheets should include a short list of requirements; strong hands, a grinder, and the vocabulary of a sailor.

Dinqua,
Here's how I cut my left side cover. You can't see anything under the cheese grater & the exposed part still looks stock. None of the mounting areas are affected

I did have to twist the Freak a bit & I thought $300 was a bit steep, but I couldn't have built it myself until after I saw what I was installing... I wouldn't take it out though, that's for sure.

Gents,

You guys have some great ideas for getting air through the FREAK. I'll get right on that. As for the kit, I had no problems installing and haven't even had the clank problems yet. Brent, I think you made a ****** good little product...Joe

I have the FREAK. I also have BUBS dresser dog/megaphone pipes and have rejeted. There is a huge difference in performance, with a little degradation in gas mileage. Well worth the price IMHO. I have not had the K&N filter problems falling off as some here have. I just took the plastic toolbox out and left that space open.

I have the same setup. Except I have Bub Slash Cuts. Same results no toolbox. I gotta hang on!

I installed mine over a year ago, got the T pipes, and then took it in and had it dyno'd. I didn't dyno before installation, but you can tell the difference, no doubt about it. I like the "kit" concept, because I am not that mechanically inclined, it came with easy to use directions, I'd do it again (thanks, Brent!)
