I had that sound for a while last year. Only now and then, and never long enough to track it down. It seemed to be coming from the top of the engine. I thought it might be a cam chain noise but who knows. It disappeared after I took the Blue Streak in for its 18,000 mile check up. I compared it to a long zip tie being closed.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
