That just looks like it SUCKS!!!! Hey look at the bright side. It might be warmer here in the west but Summer can be miserable! 100 degree temps pretty much plague us July and August. So when I am sweating at stop lights, wishing it would cool off, you'll be in the 80's loving life. (making up for past posts where I rubbed it in, It just needs to go away) Just so you know, our mountains are getting pounded and I have to travel through this CRAP!

Maybe we need Al Gore to invent global cooling so it will warm up a little.

Oh come on just cause the kids are going to school till july, doesn't mean its a long winter. The odd thing is we haven't had one small storm this year. Every storm seems like 8+. At least I still have wood in the shed and the fire's warm.

We didn't really get winter until Feb. so all in all it's been a good winter. I too am sick of the cold. At least where I am we didn't get the snow , just a dusting. Even that is unusual though I live at a high elevation here top of Mt Pocono and I normally get snow even if it is raining 2 miles away.

I can't believe how hot it's been here. We've already had a 90+ day, and it's supposed to be 84 tomorrow. The weeds are sprouting up all over the yard, and I have to trim the Mesquite tree, because the branches are growing into the neighbor's yard. Do you know how big of a PIA it is to fill the hummingbird feeder every 3 days? And I had to use some aloe vera gel becuase my skin is peeling from the sunburn I got a week ago. Arggggghhhhh!!!!!! Gee, I guess that rant came off lame. I couldn't imagine having all that snow on the ground at this point in the year....or any other time of year. Here I am thinking about my ride up to Prescott in 10 days, and you're snowed in. I wish you could be out here to enjoy our weather right now Rob.

Hey Rob, I landed in DREARY, GREY, DAMP, COLD Frankfurt Germany today, and talk about HORRIBLE weather, be glad for what you have up there!! Yeah, they parked us on the tarmac, and we had to ride the bus to the terminal, and let me tell you!!! It was so nasty out, I had to carry my winter coat (at 9:30 in the morning!!!), cause I would have been sweating it was so nice...

Wish I could say that is so Bobbed, but the one difference, we have boatloads of humidity up here in the NE, gee, wonder why, just cause there's a billion trees and swamps/rivers everywhere in CT (am I sure this isn't really northern Florida?)...

The Southwest has been goin' through quite the drought these last few years.(anybody seen picures of Lake Powell lately?)
We could definately use some of that snowpack here in the Sierras.

We have had it the opposit. Flooding , lakes brimming , basements full of water , mud , mud everywhere. I would rather wet than too dry though.

We have had very wet spring/ early summer for the last couple years. My theory is that some how we are 1-2 months behind what used to be a normal season. Right now is like the middle of march instead of April. Heck I just hope mother's day this year isn't like last years deluge.

Well, I don't Ian. Lookin' at the picture of Rob's backyard shed, I think I'll stick with the occassional brush fire up in the mountains and havin' to ask for that glass of water from the waitress when they start rationing the stuff out here. (I think I'd rather be able to ride year-round in 60 degree SMOKE, than that stuff you guys have to put up with half the year...every year)

Well just to remind you we're a month month and a half from winter down here!!!! I went riding some mates a couple of days ago. We had our jackets on in the morning cos there was a little rain about. But in the arvo the sun came out and it was vests all round. Maybe you just need to come riding in Australia.

I've been whining about highs in the 30's and 40's and lows in the teens. At least we didn't get any stinkin SNOW this time

Youse fellas need to move to the neck of the woods where winter is nothing more than a short passing phase redundant with nothing more than a few short days of relative cooler temps.....
That'd be down around hereabouts.

That's exactly what I need. A place in Australia and a place here. That way I can be in the warm weather all the time. Now all I have to do is figure out a way to pay for it

Do you all now see why I hired a bike over there...!!??!
But it was cold over the hills. However if I'd had a proper jacket with me and now just the mesh one it wouldn't have been so bad...

Yet another snow storm predicted for Wed. and Thurs. this week in Southern CT..
We have another two weeks before the GA. rally and we might be riding in the snow. Funny how you do not hear anything about global warming of Al Gore during the past 6 weeks when we are averaging 10 to 17% degrees below normal.

Global Warming is all the rage in Europe right now Poppy, they're about 20 degrees warmer than in CT, despite being way north of CT (Italy is about even with NYC)... But hey, that just means Biergarten season starts earlier, what's bad about that...(unless you're Phil and live in the soon to be underwater Florida!)?
