Okay, I surrender. The shop manual says as mentioned before 40 PSI at 4000 rpm. It also indicates that the oil pressure relief valve is set to trigger at 73 PSI. Once the relief valve goes you are dumping oil straight back to the sump. Benny, I think you are on the right track. Its where you measure that matters.
