up until a couple years ago I knew a bar/general store/gas station/gun shop that still had a 10cent pay phone. The kind with the 3 bumps on top 1 for a nickle 1 for a dime and 1 for a quarter. and yes you had to walk through the gun shop to get to the bar. LOL

Yes but did they have a PBJ/PBR special? There is a place in SLC called Burt's Tiki Lounge that was rated #10 on the top 10 dive bars in america by Maxum Magazine. They have $1 PBRs and $2 PBR Heshers. Definately one of my hang outs

I just come here for the drinks!(though I've noticed a tendency for them to be watered-down a bit lately)

Liar? No. Antagonistic? Perhaps. Blowhard? Definitely. But you're not alone in the latter. There's a long line of loudmouths around here and the line starts behind me (or Dwight, I'm not sure whose turn it is to lead).

Geez FJ, I feel left out now!! I guess I need to come out of hibernation! I've had several months of rest, so I can talk on, and on, and on, and on.....

Well....you DID take that little hiatus a few months back when you and Adey got into it, remember Greg?!

(it just takes a little while to get your revs up and running again to get back to "blowhard status", ya know)

I say NOW it's time to get up to front with Friar John, Larry, Kevin, Phil(oh, WAIT a minute...that blowhard's done gone legit since he's become that there Admin Dude, hasn't he?!...forget him!), AND OF COURSE....Yours Truly!

14 pages gimme a break! Can't believe something as simple as avatars could be as inflammatory as helmet laws or religion.
Anytime something is changed, no matter what it is, you're gonna get a percentage of people that whine and cry like a bunch of little girls.
Whenever people are given the freedom to put up anything they want, you will get a percentage that post something gross wanting others to think they are cool.
If personal avatars are kept, maybe they should be first approved by mods to weed out the scrotums and butts.

I think lonzo may have a good idea there if the mods wanted to take the time to do so. Remember they don't get paid. I see 1 problem there too though. You will get people pissed off , much as I was , because they didn't see anything wrong with what they tried. No comment required there folks.(even though I know its gonna get some!

Well, I DIDN'T want to mention this Lon, but this close-up of your bike that YOU'RE usin' as YOUR avatar reminds me of portions of the female body(I mean, just LOOK at those long sinewy(that's with a capital "SIN", BTW) fork LEGS(va-va-voom!!!)...and so now...I'M OFFENDED!!!

ummph. There is no way im going to read through all 6 pages of this thread to find out how to make a homemade avatar.

So, if some one would be so kind as to post an IDIOTS guide on HOW TO MAKE A AVATAR. I would be very very grateful.

Then i can spend the next three days cussing up a storm why i cant get the darn thing to work. These darn computer thingies.

You hit the nail on the head. And no we are not going to approve everyone. Oh wait, yes we are. Here, I'll aprove all of you at once. You all get to pick you tank color. Hopefully all the colors will be back on soon.

Good points Ian. The one about some people being POed is a non issue though. We've had people POed before. Some were outright indignant that they couldn't use any language that they wanted to in their posts back when this version of the board started in '05. They were quite welcome to leave

And that's how it is. Anyone who finds the AUP too constraining probably won't be missed.

(Not a shot at you Ian. You seem to be assimilating very well )

I still like your rat fink avatar. I think it should be a choice among the stock avatars. How much more bike oriented could you get.

Could not agree with you more on that point. I was very apprehensive when this whole personal avatar thing started and will miss it like a tooth ache.
