I wear a half shell and prescription goggles all the time. I don't like the fogginess of shields.

Back when I was young and single and moved here to TX and could go without, I loved the feel and freedom. I wore a helmet in town, often rode without when in the open country. I still like riding without but don't do it at this point of my life.

Now I have a wife and kid to consider and that weighs heavily. I think it has as lot to do with teaching my daughter and the other kids the safer way by example, too.

Personally, I think it should be a choice. I like the fact that should I want to go out to the store and dry my hair all fluffy sticking up, I can do it.
