I think the bottom line as far as rationalizing the decision is that there is no one definitive answer or rule that will cover every possible hypothetical crash situation out there. Sometimes seatbelts break ribs.. Ok fine, take it off and let me know what the steering wheel breaks, ya know? Just can't cover all the bases at once.

That being said, I do understand how some people hate being babysitted. That's why I support a person's right to choose:) CHOOSE a helmet, see what I mean?
