OK it's not my bike, but I have just ordered the Triumph flame tank job thing, and yes it is expensive. But the kit (the part number on the Triumph site) is the tank, new heat shields for under the tank, new seals for the fuel tap and a new front fender.
I just figured that by the time I got another tank of ebay, got any dents taken out, sanded it down and prepared it for the paint job and then paid for the paint job, I'd end up paying the same as just buying the tank.
So I've ordered just the tank. I think the fender with it looks too much.
That and it matches my helmet...
