Hey, I have a set of short pipes that are WAY TOO LOUD. The pipes have one baffle in them now, but that is clearly not enough to subdue the deafening noise these guys make. The one baffle in the pipe sits about 4 inches in from the slip-on point, and about 4-5 inches from the slash-cut tip (total 8-9 inches of play). If I moved the existing baffle forward to the slip-on point, leaving 8-9 inches for another baffle in the rear, would this affect the way the engine runs, or heat builds up? I'd like to keep them, but I want a controlled rumble, not a screaming, neighbors hate you, rumble. If I could fit 2 baffles in these short pipes, would that work? suggestions?

Check Pat's (Dinqua) site. If memory serves, he had something in there about crafting a baffle from that fiberglass baffle material and what looked like 1/4" hardware cloth (screen). I'm not sure though.
