I am sure any dog or cat owners out there know about the dog food recall. As of this morning Ol' Roy biscuits are on the list too. It keeps expanding. You can check at
http://www.fda.gov/cvm/default.html
Menufoods.com is another place to check. There is also a phone number you can call.

My understanding from talking to the Bozeman lab director Monday is that Cornell University (NY) is one of the diagnostic labs taking the lead on this (evolving) petfood issue.

I just called the number and Menu is only for the wet foods. They told me to call the number on the back of the food bag to be sure it's OK or not. and for the biscuits call 1-800-705-2111 EXT 117

Hmmm... So that's why when I asked my wife to bring me home some Cream of Wheat, she brought a sack of wheat gluten instead.

Why do you think "Chow" dogs originated in China?

Assuming it means more than one has slapped etc. Who are we to judge? You have to understand some will be freaked out.

I do not know about your side but here in South Africa Woolworth dog food has also been recalled. Quite a few dogs have died so far. Lucky for me I am not using any of the affected foods for my two. It is actually very sad and a disgrace that something like this should occur.

Me? Paranoid? Yeah, I guess so. No store bought food for my 2 pooches till this gets sorted out. I downloaded a bunch of recipes and have been cooking for the last week or so. I never made any rice that took more than 10 minutes to cook before. Now I'm using all natural long grain brown rice that takes 45 minutes to make. Between boiling the chicken, carrots and rice, I spent over an hour making a batch last night. My son was laughing at me saying "You never cooked a dinner for me that took more than 10 minutes." I replied "Now you know your place in the pack."
I tasted it and with a little salt it was rather tasty. Shelby and Cassie think they are in heaven and give the me all the love and respect due to the Alpha Male I claim to be(okay, in my mind anyway).
BTW, any of you watch the Dog Whisperer? Quite a guy!

I spoke to my vet about this food issue and it seems that some brands that were sent to the USA were contaminated but the same brand sent to other countries was not different manufacture or something like that. Anyway, I was glad to learn that the food I have been using that I purchase from the vet had not problems.

As this dog food debacle continues to unwind, I canĆƒĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć¢ā€žĀ¢t help but wonder how vulnerable the processed human food supply must be and the consequences of a similar situation regarding humans. It makes me want to go out and buy some livestock.

OK..I see the problem. I'm just not HIP enough to know what some of these Avatars are

And don't take them pulling your threads personal either...I have had one or two pulled in the past and screamed CENSORSHIP. I think the deal is that there are some members that have their children and families read the site, so the moderators do what is best for the overall welfare of the site. The old site used to get pretty hairy with no oversight. People threatening others, naked women on bikes (I really mind that part very much ) vulgarity and such...
Hey we were all smart enought to buy Triumphs. That's my philosphy. Have a great Easter!

The guy with the huge nad's in his neck !!! I know I saw that somewhere but can not remember.

I like Pat's where the guy sets himself on fire, the one where the guy beats himself to death on the computer is alos good. The one that freak me out was one Rob posted with the eye ball moving back and forth.

Well,BP, the one that has really been giving me nightmares everynight is Mlessard's Harley Davidson Symbol...it makes me shiver just to think of it.....

One of my favorites is Stern's James Bond. Now I am jealous that I just have my plain ole tank. Maybe there should be a Avatar contest?????

That is the exact gauge that is used to qualify posts and pics. I know members who have their children or grandchildren sitting by their knee while viewing the site. It is a family oriented place and will remain that way.
