I'm not sure how many members we have in Alberta but just a heads up on an event coming up.

Last year I attended the URSA ride in Calgary. This year it falls on May 27th.

Universal Rehabilitation Service Agency (URSA) is a Calgary-based, non-profit agency. their objective is to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities and brain injuries in community settings.

I take part because my brother-in-law has a brain injury and the folks at URSA help him out alot. Anyone interested in a police escorted ride through calgary can get more info here: Motorcycle Awareness Ride

It's a 110km Ride with a buffet style BBQ and door prizes afterward.

Hope to se you out there.

What a great turnout for the ride today The last estimate I heard was 800+ bikes! The line of bikes seemed to stretch more than 2 miles long and despite rain in the forcast, the sun was shining the whole way! 2 1/2 hours to ride 110km but it was worth it. I did see at least 5 Triumphs. If any of you are from this site I thank you for the support as well as all the rest of the riders. The diversity of brands varied so widely it was amazing to see such an array of bikes all in one place. Riding from Red Deer I traveled with my father-in-law on his Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle and His friend on a Hyabusa GSX1800R. The day was a great success and I only got rained on while I was pulling up to my garage tonite. Thanks again, I hope that more can make it next year!
