Looks like you touched the button here all right.

My personal motorcycle pursuit began about two years ago. I was looking used and lots of bikes would have made me very happy. I had pretty well narrowed in on Harley but had trouble parting with $12k. I wanted to only spend $5-6, which put me into a Sportster. Many of the Harley owners I know look down on Sportsters(Gir’ls bike)

I’ve heard all the talk about Harley resale value, but what I found was that there are a ton of Harley’s on the market but not so many of those actually sell. They are just always “For Sale”.

I bought a “Cherry” Speedmaster with 3,600 Miles for $5,200. I’ll ride it either till the wheels fall off or I get tired of it. If I do tire of it, I might sell it and possibly loose a grand or so. But I’m having a bunch-o-fun for what I’d consider a modest investment.

Day before yesterday a guy on a Harley pulled along side and his comment was “Now there’s and old one”. Yesterday a van full of young chicks stopped next to me and gave me “Nice Bike” kudos.

Gotta a feeling I’ll be fending them off!
