It took me 6 bikes in 5 years to find the one the fits me...a 2004 America. My previous two bikes were BMW (R1150R and R1150RT). I bought the RT because I thought it would be comfortable for long distances...which it wasn't...for me anyway. The America is comfortable (with Corbin seat), sounds good (with aftermarket pipes), and gets a lot of compliments. I can ride long distances in style. The BMW didn't have any of these traits, although ABS was nice and it was easier to clean. As far as comfort, everyone is different. I didn't think a cruiser would be better than a RT...but it is for me. If the RT is comfortable for you, then take a good long ride on a cruiser to see if it fits.
