Hi Guys,

This is my first post here also, and I was going to ask the same question too.

My situation is slightly different - I ride a BMW R1150RT. It's a wonderful bike, full of character and just like triumph, is different to most. I don't fit into the demagraphic for this bike (i'm 36) and as such i cop heaps of flack about what I ride.

My reason for joining here was because I too, am thinking of going over to a Triumph America or Speedmaster and wanted to know all about them too.
They are a different bike, have a unique sound and are not harleys, and thats what is so appealing to me about them.

Without changing the topic and pinching the post, I'd appreciate some advice from anyone riding a Triumph who came from the touring camp or BMW brand.

Swish2mac , From what little i know and have seen here in Australia - Triumphs are the unsung hero of the cruiser population - If i could own 2 bikes, there would be one in my stable.

Regards,

Phil
