For me it was the fact that in the 70’s I rode a Bonnie. It may not have been able to out perform some of the models of the day but it could out handle them all. Over the years I have had many other brands and models but it always felt like something was missing. The day I saw the Speedmaster I just knew this was it. On the first ride I just knew I had come home.
Make no mistake the Speedmaster is no slouchier as I have pushed my one up to 117 mph two up fully loaded with no problems. You also need to look at what Triumph has achieved over the past years having the triple motor voted as motor of the year and the Daytona voted bike of the year.
As a lot here have pointed out it has soul heritage and a history of its own. It also pulls crowds this you will find out soon enough if you go this way.
