I had the same exact struggle 5 years ago when I purchased my America. I looked at everyting I could. Honda, Yamaha even Harley. I looked into it much the same whay you have, seeking out people who have them. The best part, NO ONE HAD ONE! When all was said and done I found a smoking deal on a brand new Triumph. Their was no dealer in my state at the time and the people I bought it from lost the Dealer license for carrying too many brands(or something). They had like 10 triumphs in their back room collecting dust. I saw Lucy and it was love at first sight. She has NEVER let me down and I will have her till I die. I am looking at adding a second to my barn. I could afford more expensive bike but I'd rather have my Triumph.
Don't be a kook that buys because its what everyone else has. Buy something real!
