Well, resale value is important for Harleys, because most Harley owners tend to sell them eventually. And if I'm not mistaken, that "benefit" of owning a Harley has been rapidly fading away ever since the market for Harleys has reached a saturation point. I'll wager a guess that the majority of Bonneville America owners keep their bikes. Triumph cruiser owners tend to become a lot more fanatical about their bikes.
