Just got an e-mail from Triumph, figured I would spread the local news. Saw a demo at Freehold too on the 20-21st.

Benny,
I haven't been to Gengras yet. I'm still pi**ed that Canton Cycle sold out to them. They really had no other option. BMW & Triumph were squeezing them pretty hard to stock more bikes & accessories. When the Demo truck was up at Canton we had some great rides. Lots of good roads with-in a couple miles of the dealership. I can just see going for a demo ride at Gengras. Lets see hop on 84, and fight the Hartford traffic . If all goes as planed I'll be riding my bike down in SC that week end.

Wish I could go, but I'm being forced against my very will
to ride around the Blue Ridge Mountains on a shiny black
British motorcycle on those days. {sigh}

Someone has to keep an eye on Unc

Dont know how many of you have been out to Gengras, but I've made a couple trips out there now. And I cant figure out how Triumph is going to do any meaningful demo rides around there.

I mean go 25 ft to stop sign take left at traffic light kind of area, unless they are gonna let people take them out on the slab.

Jack,

All kidding aside (you are right) there is no place to ride in that area and I doubt they are going to let you take those bikes on 84 or 91.

But I still plan on going I think I'm going to borrow my buddies truck and threw the Honda Shadow (250) in the back and see what they have for Linda.

Looks like our ride to New London on Sunday is going south quickly and we have to get out of the house Sunday (open house) makes no sense to me I have two contrcats on the house already so we may just go to Gengras on Sunday and check it out.

Yeah John looks like Sunday is gonna be a wash out. Didnt see a rain date posted on the NLMC site either.

I am planning on going out to Gengras for the open house also, I was just warning anyone who dosnt know East Hartford not to expect a nice counrty road for the demmos.

Anyhow pretty sure I'll be out there Sunday (29th).

Yeah lets keep this in mind, because I may be free that weekend too. I could probably crash (no punn intended) at my buddie's place up in Windsor and ride down. I still want a chance to meet everyone, even if there aren't much by way of good demo roads.

I also was wondering where they were going to let us ride. certainly can't compare to the local roads at canton cycles, I was sorry I missed that demo event last year. If we head to the turd factory we should bring our fishing gear I think the season opens that weekend.

If it's nice I will see you all there. I'm looking to trade up to a Tiger or R1200GS(if the bank, aka Wife will let me!) .

First of all,
Wish Brett a Happy Birthday for me.

It was cool to see y'all, but the best part was the red/white
Tiger 500.
Martin, and I, went for a nice ride after Marcus, I ended
up with around 160 miles for the day. My butt was sore t'day.

See ya in GA!

I really wish it was closer to the ferry.... I've been promising Kim a ride, but that's a pretty far piece, quite a bit of slab too, from Bridgeport for her.

take the new London ferry, you can avoid slab entirely by taking 85 to 94 into Glastonburry hang a right at intersection of 94 and main str glastonburry, keep going main Str Glastonburry becomes Main Str. East Hartford.
Probly about 1- 1 1/2 hr ride at most.

Very true... We'll have to see. The Port Jeff ferry is 2 miles from my house, the NL is an hour ride from here

Plus Benny the NL ferry is a little rocky. You might have to stay with the bike the whole time.

I've done it before no problems, but if the weather is bad, yeah. The PJ ferry is much better. Plus the NL ferry, you have to get your tix ahead of time, that means dismounting, going inside, waiting in line, going back to the bike, holding the ticket somehow while you ride towards the ferry, etc. The PJ ferry you get in board, then get the tix upstairs. More convenient.

Matt,

Got to ride the White Tiger yesterday and a Black Rocket.

I'm staying with my America, to much bike for me. I pulled the front wheel off the ground on the Tiger by mistake. That bike flies.
