I find the opposite to be true.
I have no trouble turning my head, or riding all day wearing a full face helmet. Weight is not an issue for me.
I see better with it on as there is no wind (or rocks, bugs, etc.) in my eyes.
The helmet is not a sound deadening device so I hear just fine, well..... barring the loss from those Zep, Sabbath, etc. concerts back in the day .
In fact I wear earplugs when on a long ride for that reason.
Make your own choice on whether on not to wear a helmet, if you can. But if you don't want to wear one, just say so. There's really no need to try to rationalize it .
