Inspired by an earlier post, I decided to jazz up my gunfighter/gunslinger seat. I figured no one with any sense will ever sit on the passenger side again since I have the touring saddle for 2-up riding.
With some very appreciated assistance from Erwin, I came up with an idear, cut it out and had the local shoemaker stitch it to the seat. He charged me less than the cost of a pack of cigarettes (in NJ!) and had it back to me in a day.

Yes Phil, it's a Celtic knot, the 2nd simplest one I could find to cut out and have the poor cobbler have to sew on. Most other knots were w-a-y too complicated.

Many believe the triangular Celtic knots of pre-Christian times represent birth, death & rebirth. They are often used in Irish Christian art to reflect the Holy Trinity.

But I just thought it looked cool.

Forgive the way my mind works, but I can see how they'd come to think it represents birth - Give your head a 1/4 turn and take a closer look - That knot looks like a diagram of Fem. Repro. organs to me. Forgive me Lord and them there Pygmies in ...

Further proof that God is a woman....Even Her symbology is cool!

Nice seat detail, Kevin!

Never meant to imply I didn't like it - Its absolutely A-OK with me. It was just how I perceived the image - Just like those little pictures the shrinks use on TV - Oh, forgot who I'm communicating with here - those images that many of you have seen at your psychiatrist’s office.
