Thanks for all the advice. Managed to locate the alarm. Followed the main wire that goes in to a black box the size of a box of matches. I believe that this is the connecting point. I was unable to get in to it so as the bike is a write off I clipped the wire the bike side of the connector box. Will be delivering it to the Triumph dealer to put on my new black SM next week. Just hope the alarm still works.
Gina - I agree. I believe they should pay for a new one. It was fully comp. insurance and I got discount for having the alarm so they can’t say they didn’t know. I am just making sure that if all fails and they don't pay in full I will at least have the alarm. I am in the process of claiming for the accessories from the car driver, but I am told that this could take some time.
