Bobbed,
I dismissed the Monster S4R S Testastretta for this reason, - tuning it properly takes a large inventory of valve shims, and are a hassle to get at. Then, to get it to run "just right" one often has to mill a few thousandth off the shim stock with a grinding stone. This must be repeated every 3500 miles. Now, I do have access to a machine shop, - so I could do it. But, do I want to? Answer - No. I also don't want to pay to have this anal tuning done either.
That's why.
