Vent hose? We were only kidding.....
Actually, the vent hose is a pre-formed hose (1/4"? 5/16"?) that has a j-shaped bend in it. The bent portion should be near the top front of your cam cover as the bend lets the hose clear the rubber mount on the right side of the frame that the fuel tank slides over. The rest of the hose follows the spine of the bike and exits beneath the bike near the other hoses from the airbox. There is a one-way check valve in it at the rear of the frame between/behind the carbs.
The end of the J slides over a small tube protruding from under the center of the tank.
