If you are interested in doing a black, try 'Blitz Black' from John Deere. Its not a flat black, more of a Satin finish. Kinda like suede. A lot of hot rodders use it to get that Rat Rod look without spray bombing it. Its a tough enamel topcoat. It covers really well. If your existing paint job is decent scuff it with 600 or 1000 grit paper and shoot the 'Blitz Black' over it. You won't be disapointed. Gives it that suede rat rod look instead of using the flat black primer. It won't give you that chalky look and feel and you won't have to reshoot it in a year. I am currently shooting my '53 Buick in a two tone 'Blitz Black' and flat white.
