Pat, I got the crank off today and back on without removing the rotor or the counter balancers. Jojje told me his trick, you mark the crank and the counterbalancers so you can reinstall them in the same orientation, I used a sharpie. I didn't even remove the barrels, pistons or con-rods. I just unbolted the con-rods from the crank, marked the counterbalancers and crank gear, and lifted the crank out rotor and all. I slipped the new cam chain on, and with the help of a friend (after about 15 tries) got the gears to all line up.

It was a pretty good piece of advice, I was dreading that rotor...
