Dog, fyi and Wendy's, I had a disc replaced at the L5 S1 2 years ago with an prosthetic called a prodisc prodisc . So for me, it has been my mission to create the most comfortable riding position I can think of and I believe I have done that. I can assure you both then the corbin seat and backrest work extremely comfortably for me, and in fact, I couldn't be happier. One thing though, to fully take advantage of the backrest, I changed my riding position to be totally upright. Now having a speedmaster you understand it requires a slight lean forward position which I believe defeats the purpose of the backrest. What I did was replace my risers with Duece arrangments. I'm not saying this will work for Wendy but for me at 6' tall, I'm in heaven as I cruise along. I hope this info helps Wendy as back pain can really spoil a good time. One last thing Dog, I'm now finishing off this project by buying some better shocks so that the jolts are better cushioned.
