My lady is named Sadie. I'm sorry to say that there is no story behind the name. I just looked at her and to me she looks like a Sadie.

She's a Lady and the Lady is 100% mine !

They've always been "the bike" and when I ride, I say I'm going out for "therapy". The only bike I ever named was the GL1200. That one was "Granny's Rocker", for the wife's ability to sleep while underway. So boring, it made me want to do the same.

Camilla Parker Bonneville.
So named, because I took delivery the same weekend that Charles married Camilla Parker Bowles

Why you you insult your bike by calling it something like Camilla Parker Bowels?

Laughed when I saw that a few months back. Glad to know I'm not the only one. Now if I can just figure out a way for BCBS to reimburse for out of pocket riding expenses (and get parts covered under my Flexible Spending Acct.)

Auld Beastie. Since my first bike, every one I liked was Auld Beastie. The rest were all named POS.

My Pretty Bonnie....For weeks after I got her, I'd be riding her around extoling her virtues, usually starting with "Isn't she PRETTY!!"
Never named my HDs or Hondas, which I find of note.

My wife hung "Calamity Jane" on the Speedmaster. I like it too, so it stuck. Our Policy is to name anything in our house that cost more than $1000. The mustang is "betty" and my wife (again) hung "3WC" on my jeep (short for third-world-country). She does not have a high opinion of the Jeep....

My budies call the bike "the Turnip"

This summer when I ride out to Yellowstone, I am overnighting in Deadwood and will snap a picture of Calamity Jane at Calamity Jane's grave. Then I will drink a bottle of bourbon with Wild Bill Hickcock....

The HELLION from the intro of Screaming for Vengance By Judas Priest. My lovely wife said I rode like a bat out of hell after I took off up a twisty road in front of her. So I decided the Hellion would sound about right.
