Funny you should ask Bill, but ya know, I didn't give it ANY thought UNTIL I'd slid on the left grip and it was pretty much firm (my glue set fast, when it says in the instructions to decide how it should be oriented before putting the grip on, they aren't kidding. With mine at least, I had to slide it on fast and get it all the way up to the clutch housing, cause a few seconds after I did, I tried turning it, and it was already setting up tight!! Afterwards, I noted in my head that maybe I should have rotated it a bit forward to line up with the right grip at cruising speed, but by then too late, and I haven't given it much thought since. It felt different at first, but I quickly got so used to it, that now I don't even notice. But I would say, if you are really worried, then line it up as close as possible to where the right grip is at cruising speed, so they feel the same. But, yeah, maybe you're being just a little obsessive, I doubt you'll notice any difference once you get used to them....
