I have a Triumph tach I want to install but I'm missing the little plug that goes into the tach along with the wire assembly that holds the light bulb. My bike is an '04 so I have the main accessory harness (see photos). Does anyone have a part number maybe?

Triumph 908ML cord assembly is printed on mine. I'd a sent it along, but my voltmeter is grafted into it.
On a Speedmaster, the tach wiring harness will plug into the 3 wire brown, purple, and red w/ blue stripe socket
And also into a two wire red and green w/ red stripe socket, which looks like you have both open in the photo
If you do a search for who replaced tachs with an aftermarket model around here, you might find a spare harness kicking around somewhere. Chances are it's going to be a dealer item. Libby's in New Haven has done well getting me odd Triumph parts, and will mail them.

Thanks! I couldn't find it in the parts schematic someone once posted on here. I'll check with a dealer.

You sure that plug in the bottom of that pic isn't it? It's definitely the one with the red and brown wire... The red wire is the signal from the spark.

The wires you are missing are not part of the replacement harness that comes in the kit. They come attached to the tach itself and must be used when the new tach is installed. I found a small harness that would fit at a Hobby Shop that specializes in remote control planes and cars. It does not snap in place like the original but is easily held in place with tape. The light will also need to be rigged. Either a bulb or LED connected to the light and to the ground. I sold that tach to someone else on the site a few months ago and haven't heard how he is doing with it.

Thanks for the reply(you too Ben). I'm gonna check if I can get it from a dealer (hopefully less than $100 ). If not I'll have to rig something up.

The tach & light bulb together use five wires.

I think two of them are ground.

I checked the dealer once and the price was 80 bucks or so. It may be cheaper to just get a tach, with all the wires, off ebay.

Wow! and I was kidding about the $100! I figured maybe $50 and I might consider it.

Thanks Larry,
I should be able to work something out. I even have one of those types of hobby shops that you mentioned around here.

Hey Walt, in case others run into the same problem, can you do a write-up with photos? No pressure....

OK, I have a harness off an 05. It seems that even though the kit comes with a new harness, 05 and up are pre wired from what I can tell.
The harness has the 4 indicator lights, the large cinnector going to the main harness, and three other connectors. A 2 wire (orange and gray wires) another 2 wire ( red and green with red tracer) and a 3 wire (red with blue tracer, brown, and purple)
I've installed a few tachs, and the kit comes with a harness that is exactly the same as what't in the 05's and up, and the single wire they want you to tap into a connector under the tank. I have never had to run the single wire, and don't install the harness at this point, so this should be the right harness. I figure they just went with one part for all production being the Speedmaster comes with a tach standard, and you can upgrade the America.
It's brand new, and yours if you want it. I can ship it to ya on monday........

Thanks Pete, but I already have that harness you described. See my first post and ladisney's. I need the plug and bulb assembly that gets plugged into the harness you mentioned.
