I was reading the post about air flow and was wondering.. I put on Triumph after market pipes do I need to re-jet? I am getting a little pop on the slow down.. If you remove the air box does this mess with the warranty at all?

If you install off road pipes it gives you the opportunity to rejet and increase your power much more than just the pipes will do. My dealer didn't care about me opening the bottom of the airbox and said that the freak kit would be ok too. If a dealer wants to be a dick there's not much that he can't point to and give you trouble. On the other hand, I haven't heard of many dealers doing that over warranty questions.

Not just jets, but LOTS of other good things for TBAs and Speedies. http://www.newspeedmaster.com/html/performance.html

can buy jets at almost any cycle shop the carbs are very common. Larger ones at Harley shop as they use 1 carb on 2 cylanders. I can't remember who has it for download but I'm sure one of the other guys here will chime in and let ya know. But one of the guys has a jetting calculator to download and I have tested it and it seems to work. I wish I had it when I was playing with jetting my scoot. A little pop on slow down is most often too small pilot jet or air mixture screw needs adjustment. If its the pilot jet chances are you need a larger main as well. Get the freak from newspeedmaster.com It makes a huge difference and comes with main jets too.

bjhube Welcome to the crazyness. You can get a good power boost by pulling out the snorkle. It's on top of the airbox, under the seat. It's a free power gain and easy to put back if you don't like it. Then rejet accordingly. Have you seen Pat's Jetting Calculator. It gives you a good jump on figuring out jets. Keep in mind that this is an addiction that's hard to control. First it's jets, and next thing you know it's a big bore kit. Good luck, Cody

Welcome Bill. Lost of good advice above. Why don't you edit your bio with your location. Chances are there's people on here near you that can help.

While the Triumph "offroad" pipes are designed to not require rejetting, your bike will be happier if you do anyway. One or two sizes bigger and you will gain a bit of power and the engine will run noticeably cooler.
