I bought my Septres in spring of 03 for my 03 America. At the time, I just ordered a set of Septres, I didn't know they even had baffles or different sizes. Mine have a very sweet idle, are not too loud, but louder than the custom pipes on my brothers' Road Kings in normal riding. Reving the engine will set off car alarm systems.
Mine will get a very slight gold hue during long trips ( something only I notice ), but I usually cruise at about 85 or 90 on highways. Simichrome and a little elbow grease cures that.
My Septres are the stock length and everyone thinks they are looking at a stock bike till it starts up. I love these pipes, the quality is unsurpassed, the install is easy and the sound is sexy. But, you already know that. My advise to anyone is buy the Septres, you will have no regrets and be forewarned you won't be able to maintain that stoic bad ****** biker look for about six months after install, because stoic bad ****** bikers don't smile, giggle and laugh out loud while riding.
