Triumph was started by German guys. I figured with all the talk about herritage and history aroud here, it was common knowledge.
Triumph also manufactured bikes in Germany up to the advent of WWII in Nurnberg. After WWII, the bikes were known as TWN, for "Triumph Works Nurnberg"
I have a 53 TWN BDG 250S that I'm going to restore. Here's a pic of the exact bike fully restored.
