That's what I'm here for man.

I don't see why everyone's getting their panties in a bunch. It's just a website community like everyone else. Only thing is that they're focusing on a particular vein and would like it to stay that way. They don't consider themselves elitists in any shape or form...just try to embrace the heritage of the vintage & cafe styled motorcycle.

I think think he is right on. Everyone is boo hooing about triumphs made in Thailand cuz it takes away from the history. these guys are just one step farther then that with saying they only want there classic style. Lets face it cruisers ARE an american style bikes I dont see a point if someone has a rockabilly style bike why hate um for it and want to be in their club.

ride what you love and dont look back.

Mark, even if you become Ricky's beyoootch. I will still hang out with you cause ya know what ever you decide to do...."its okay, baby". I don't know if Yota will understand though ..... seriously, the group looks like they do have some cool members... I met some a couple of years back at the Ga. rally when we met up with the Delphi forum group.... not snobby in the least. As Groucho used to say " I wouldn't join any group that would have me as a member"... ride safe, buddy....Gordon

Hey Mark,
Are you sure that they're gonna let you in, now that you don't
have your curly locks anymore?

Geeze, I leave you all for a couple of minutes and look what happens... LOL.

Yes, I was (in attitude still am, there are some things that can never be changed) an old school punk rocker. Ever see that movie "SLC Punk", it's a fictional movie that is based pretty much on the real scene in Salt Lake, that was the scene I was in for the most part.

Shane, I remember the name "Cantankerous", but off the top of my head I don't remember the music.

Mike (Gurdy), that is awesome about your band. You guys have an album?

Anyway, I am sure most of you have seen Quadrephnia. B.I.R. reminds me of those little snotty big-mouth wimpy Mods, except that they ride bikes.

I remember my friends band went on tour a couple years before I moved here and they talked about this place called Speedway. Raunch Records had mail order in Maximumrockenroll and Flipside. Raunch was a SLC based record store that rocked! It was open for around 2 years after I moved here and Pusshead did all of his artwork. I love this town. No matter what people say it fkn rules!!!!

To all of you Brit Iron Elite lovers.... I am not MAD, I just think they are pompass and rude. I had heard nothing of them until this morning when my Bonneville America Family told me of their arrogance. All I did was test it and form my own oppinion. After the response, I would say they are lame and I have tried as hard as I need too. As the saying goes "Sid did it his way and I'll do it mine"

Naw,
The BIR's are cool guys, they just have an exclusive group. Nothing wrong with that at all.
I say we kick out all the Hondas and regular Bonnies and T100 owners from this board, and anyone found to be even looking at a Hardley.....you're dead meat!
Let the birs have their own little group, they are too special to be like us.

Raunch Records. What a cool place. When you moved there, were they still under the freeway on 5th South across the street from Murder Park? I left SLC in 87 or 88, I know a lot of things changed after that.

I don't think I could ever move back there. Mostly because I grew up there and couldn't wait to get out.

Pat, LOL! Yea, lets do that! Not. I am very glad to be part of our world wide family. But, you are right, most of the members of BIR are cool. It's just the guys running their club.

Back in the middle 60's, we formed the "Black Panther" club, had our own flag and everything. We'd go on backcountry sorte's catching turtles, snakes and throwing rocks at stuff. Then a few years later Huey Newton and Bobby Seale came along with their version of the "Black Panthers". I wanted to complain, my mom said "go ahead" . We would have accepted them, our bylaws were pretty much make it up as you go.

What would Groucho do?

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Now look here chaps, I had a word with Her Majesty this morning and, being a well known Biker Chick, she was a bit pi**ed off to say the least! She said she'd send a gunboat !

She put me through to the First Sealord of the Admiralty and He said that he was sure the Royal Navy had one somewhere, but he hadn't seen one for a while. He said the Rear Admiral would know where one was, so he put me though.

The rear Admiral told me that, because we closed all of our shipyards and steelworks in the 1980's as a condition of entry into the EEC to satisfy France, the French are now building a gunboat for us, and as soon as it is finished, we can send that. I got back to the First Sealord with the good news.

"GOOD LORD !" he spluttered, "a Royal Navy ship built by the FRENCH !". "It don't matter who built it I said, "we need it to fire a shot across the bows of these BIR upstarts !"

"you'll have to check with Tony Blair " he said and put me through.

Tony Blair said we could send a gunboat as long as it didn't have guns because it might offend some bad people somewhere, and besides that, his wife being a Human Rights Lawyer hadn't managed to get a quote in to the Legal Aid board for funding to represent BIR yet.

I told him that the First Sealord didn't want a French built ship in the Royal Navy but Tony said "when did I ever listen to anyone else's opinion?"

So Back to Her Majesty I went with the news.

"My husband and I are not amused" she began, " at this rate we will only have one motorcycle builder left in the UK soon and they will outsource the build to Thailand". " I'll send a gunboat....."

If you do it today you MIGHT regret it. If you CAN'T do it tomorrow you WILL regret it.
