I like the other one better. Which I'd see that before I started monkeying with a mangled steel one.

Mmm -- mmm Those look good.
I'm seeing a solo saddle on springs to go with a fender like that.

first one looks okay, but doesnt seem to work in proportion to offer a nice flow to the looks.

Hello, you can mount the number plate at the side or do as i have and buy a custom light with No plate bracket, got one off e bay. And fix it on the end of the m/g.There is a wire glassed under the m/g with a connector to plug into the original on the bike ( 5 core ).
Cheers Wal.

Yeah, I prefer to have a big honking tail light on the back of the bike.
It's better to be seen than look "cool".

I am 100% with you Kevin. I get a kick out of bikes with those itty bitty tail lights used to stay 'just' within the laws but cannot be seen even on a pitch dark night.

That's why I changed my stock rear turn signals into two filament run, brake, & turn signals with some parts from JC Whitney and some diodes. I contemplated shortening the stalks when I did this but I also like the wider profile.

There's other ways to accomplish this but I just love to tinker!

They are JC Whitney and are 3/16" larger and identical in shape to the stock turns. I tapped them to the stalk size. I want to say they are 10mm.

I cannot find theses on JC Whitney anymore nor anything even close! WTF??? The part #s were

housing - ZX064238W
lens - ZX064238W

They were $13 for the pair and came with a two filament socket

Send me your fender and I'll cut it for less, I can't paint it unlees you want Blitz Black but I'll cut it, sand it and prime it for you. I'll do it for $30 US, You pay shipping. That will pay for my beer while I do the work! Or save the cash and cut it yourself. C'mon DO IT!!! You could buy a cutoff wheel, Sand paper and primer for less than what you would pay after shipping. Beer would be extra, but at least you'd have a new tool.

Hi Dave,

That looks good. I'm interested to see how it looks fitted. I'm toying with fitting an older looking type on mine, but can't decide where to fit them

Cheers

Steve
