You are the first person I have heard having any real problems.Have you messed with the carbs yourself? Heck mine runs no matter what I rode from here NE PA ,Poconos, to NH a couple days after I got it in the driving rain. Rained so hard I almost couldn't see the tail light of the guy in front of me. It didn't skip a beat and still hasn't to this day10,000 miles later. I have done alot of things as far as carbs and air filtration etc.. and no matter what it ran good was lean and rich both until I got the jetting dialed in but never ran bad. I'm sorry for you luck maybe you got a lemon. It could happen. Or would that be a lime? LOL
