Thats how i measured mine , but i got a bit more than 1/2" play ,i think riding two up to Rallies fully packed up last year has worn them quicker,got the drive now try to fit it at the weekend if the chain and sprockets get here in time,
allso found a supplier of carb jets and things here in Uk so i should be ok for them now,
