I have just removed my wheels today so I can get my new tires mounted and balanced tomorrow. How do you know when it is time to replace your cush rubbers? I have looked at mine and it seems ok but what should I be looking for.

Dennis,
The manual says something to the tune of change it "When it needs to be changed." Very freakin specific eh?
Anyhow, most people measure the play by lifting the bike up, then put it in gear and see how much slop you get with the rear wheel when you try to turn it. Should be a little bit, a half inch of slop would be a sign to replace it. Mine has about 1/8" and may get swapped later this season when I get my roundtuit.

A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice. Pat
