According to Pingel, stock petcocks have a flow rate of only 28 ounces a minute. Let's figure that one out. 28 times 60 (minutes in an hour) equals 1680 ounces, or 13.125 GALLONS per hour. If our bikes are using more fuel than that, I'd check for leaks, not a problem with the petcock, IMHO...
