Mike and Bob - the interstates in this part of the state are certainly not safe from the Elk - actually lots of the hits happen on I-40.... a 1/4 mile to the semi in front - that leaves a LOT of room for those monster buggers to jump in front of you. Following a pickup truck or even a car is probably better - you can be a little closer to his tail without the turbulance and loss of view! Anyone else in the Flagstaff area about 1 pm on Thurs, I'll be headed down, probably thru Sedona and over Mingus, just cause I got the afternoon and its a nice ride. Posting this one from Casa Dwight after getting in yesterday about 0 noon 30. Almost felt like turning around and hitting White Spar Road all over again. The shopping's been done, the beer's been bought...where is everybody?  Went for an early evening ride up to Thumb Butte, and then dinner at Prescott Brewing Co. Already finding out what I forgot to bring. Got "that look" from my wife when I forgot to bring the slotted seat bolt. Cobbled together a fix though so she doesn't have to sit on the fender.

Well Ron, I guess I could'a thrown this thing in Kansas or maybe even Florida, but I don't have connections there, Dude.(well, in FL I suppose there's always Phil, ya know) 
And besides, I couldn't 'a called it the SOUTHWEST Triumph Fest in that case either, now could I?!
