I've never really got attached to cars, not like bikes but if one stands out it's got to be my old Austin Princess, good car, strait six motor across the frame, power steering, bungie suspension and like sitting in a smoking room in St.Georges Club, the only thing that was annoying was the bloody steering wheel in the way,Whoops ,that's why it was there,Had to drive as well
Ya know Stewe, I've been thinkin' about this Austin Princess car o' yours, and started wondering why I've never seen one o' those on the american highways. And then it hit me!
Besides the fact that Austin never really made any inroads into the american car market to speak of, I think that maybe that particular car's name itself "just might have" held back a few sales if they would have ever tried sellin' any o' those puppies over here.
I mean, Datsun(now of course, Nissan) never imported the "Fairlady Z" into the The States EITHER as far as I know, but there SURE were a hell of a lot of those plain old "Z"s zippin' down american highways a few decades ago.
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
