Like Ed said - Fins is fins. If I'm taking the time to do a REAL cleaning job, I use a parts washer brush (soft bristle) and lather it up. It works quite well. I've used that method since Moby was a minnow. To brighten it all up, I use the same typeof brush with a light coating of McGwires Vinyl and Rubber stuff. It deepens the black - and puts a semi-gloss shine on it. Be sure to put it on light enough so it doesn'y collect more dirt than you just cleaned off. Some use WD-40 - I think it too messy/oily.
