Actually Bill, I can believe that about the Volvo drivers, since we seem to be Volvo-rich in this part of Connecticut (along with VW's and Subies), and some of the worst offenders for traffic stupidity, i.e. doing things as if there's not another soul within 150 miles of here, are Volvo drivers. I don't know if maybe they think that extra safeness will somehow rub off on the person who they hit when they change lanes with not nearly enough room or without using turnsignals, or what. Maybe one of the gizmos that Volvo has, that we're not aware of, is a 3D Virtual cockpit, that surrounds the driver with a virtual image of his surroundings, where all threats are elminiated, thus reaffirming the Volvo drivers belief that he is totally safe in his/her Volvo....
