So I'm riding my bike into work today and I'm soo pumped about it, my glorious Triumph fired up on the first try after a long winters sleep. I'm more than half way to work and loving life, when I look down realize that cheap piece of crap plastic Triumph emblem that goes on the other cheap POS signal board has gone flying off. I'm soo mad, it looks like hell now, anyone know where I can get one?

Get a tach or clock, looks better that way anyhow.
Edit: I may have one of these things lying around if you need a replacement. I'll have to look around though.

Yeah.. mine fell off shortly after I got my bike and the dealer warrantied it for me. You can pick one up at your dealer or maybe post an ad in classified.. as many here who have tachs, there should be a few floating around.

The Tach is also only decoration. You can't look at it while riding without putting you life at risk.

Yeah, but you know how Speedmaster riders need to overcompensate for their shortcomings with extra instrumentaion!!(which is really undersized anyhow) A REAL rider doesn't need an instrument to tell him when to shift, or when his idle speed is right, he goes by sound and feel!!
Kind of surprised most Speedo riders haven't put in Gearshift indicators as well....

Well Kurt, evidently you didn't receive your recall notice about this very thing a while back.
You see, according to Triumph, there was a patch of cheaper grade PLASTIC used for this piece. My recall notice continued on to say that one of the prongs that hold this piece to it's base can become weakened, causing it to fly off, which in turn COULD cause the rider to experience a momentary feeling of disgust, which COULD cause them lose control of their machine(and their temperment), which COULD cause an accident.
Triumph suggests that you immediately bring your bike into one of their authorized dealerships for a retrofit of the new and improved PLASTIC covering(at no cost)...OR...you have either have the offical Triumph clock OR the official Triumph tach installed.(at YOUR cost, of course)

I'm not going to put a tach in right now, but just out of curiosity, I remember hearing that there was an issue with fitting the tach on the 2002's. Something about not have enough room or right fitting for the wire harness. Any truth to this?

Might make a right nice cupholder hole for a Red Bull?
I'm thinking about a mechanical oil pressure gage in mine. I've looked high and low for an over & under two in one oil temp & pressure gage to fit that space, to no avail.

I've polished spokes and engines and chrome for years.....
my beautiful speedy is a welcome maintenance break. Besides, they're like twins, how could you call one more beautifull just becuase of hair dye?

well dont feel to bad , my side cover blew off on the califorina freeway guess what ? its a flat piece of crap now. ive got buyer remorse ,i have a speedmaster!!!!!!!!! $104.00 to replace . but i didnt buy the speedmaster sticker.so now no one will know what it is . haha
