I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I own a 2002 Triumph Bonneville America. I was hit by a Dodge truck last Tuesday. There are no Authorized Triumph dealers in the state of Louisiana where I live and my bike is totaled.
The help I need from you guys is an online estimate from an authorized Triumph dealership emailed to me of how much my bike is worth with all the performance mods and dress up parts I've put on the bike and a second opinion of my bike being totaled along with a repair estimate.
My insurance company wants me to describe the damages so they get a professional opinion. I have also included a link to pictures of my bike before the accident.
I managed to keep the bike up and drove it into a field after having my leg and ankle crushed by the truck but it doesn't seem to have done much good besides me not getting hurt any worse than I was. There was an angel on my shoulder that day.
2002 Triumph Bonneville America with only 3850 miles purchased used last March with only 2500 miles on it for $5500 + I put over $1500 into the bike.
Damages - All damages on right side of bike.
Front wheel squeaks
Exhaust head crushed and pulled out of engine
Oil cooler busted
Right foot peg and rear brake control bent along with the foot control bar
Front part of frame twisted slightly and tabs holding the foot control bar bent
Right Sceptre exhaust with less than 500 miles on them creased on right side and pushed in towards rear sprocket
Right side exhaust is yellowed before the crease and no oil leads me to believe there is internal engine damage
Right shock was pushed against the rear swingarm
Right tail light bent
Scratched chrome
This is all I noticed with a broken ankle. There could be more damages that I haven't seen or can't see.
