Having said that, went out yesterday and bought an Aussie sim for my mobile and will be checking in with my sis every evening, and she's giving me a contact of a friend of her's in Brissie, and then she's gonna call my olds EVERY night to let them know I'm ok.. anyone would be thinking I was planning a trip on my own...
My mum thinks hat meeting up with someone I've never met is wierd.... and yet she's met Ade and I'd never met him before coming on here... And he is wierd.. (Don't mean it mate! )
But I was planning on putting something in my kit (though probaly in my jacket pocket) somewhere with contact details for my sis and the bike hire company.
And I really should do it at home too. THough not the bike hire company there...

Fallen comrade
This message is not from Mike. This is from his close friend Frank. Today there was a tragic motorcycle accident that Mike was involved in. A van pulled out in front of him while he was coming home. He T-boned the van and came to an instant stop. Even the valiant efforts of one of the best trauma centers in the state could not save him. He died quickly today doing the thing he loved most, riding his BA. He taught me a lot in life, one of the most important things being to live life to the fullest and live with no regrets. I can honestly say I do not regret one single moment of knowing Mike. He loved this group like no one could know, it put a smile on his face. I have lost a good friend today, and the Triumph community has lost a loyal companion. God speed Mike.

I believe that inspired the first GA rally right? I do remember that....

Some local members put together a memorial ride and Robert attended.. I suppose that started the whole process.
Vinton and Eric met Robert there and later that year Vinton suggested the Ride to Roberts town thus the first official BA.com rally in Evansville.

good idea phil !!!!! of course Mrs. Newt has known that for a long time. its something i never hope to read about anybody here, but we are all born to die and we all know it. there are brothers and sisters here and when one has fallen, we all need time to greive and celibrate the life and commiradary that was. good idea phil!!!!
