Reading ddb's thread about getting hit reminds of something we were discussing this weekend.
What if one of us gets laid up (or worse)? How would anyone on here know unless there was some personal contact with another member? If you drop off the face of the earth, there's a good chance we'd never know and that's gotta stop.
I want every-frggin-one of you to make arrangements with a loved one to please let us know if there is a problem with you and you cannot get here. All they would have to do is contact any active member or moderator.

Discussed exactly the same subject many moons ago.
My family regularly contact me .. about every 6 - 7 weeks ... sometimes ......
When I ride, I wear dog tags with my old man's telephone number on it in case I cop it while I'm out.
If they use my reg plate to get my address, all they'll find are three floating goldfish!
As for letting you guys know, none of my family know where this site is ....

Many members have come and gone, most with little or no notice. Some have made large contributions to the site and would be missed while others have popped in and out, taking what they needed and leaving no footprints to mark their presence. This site is what you make of it. For some it is simply a source of information while for others it is a virtual community with real friends.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
