Had a chance to do some trial and erro with the Kury mirrors. I made a new set of the "adapters" that I got from Ma's Cycle. The stock mirrors have a weird vertical wave spring/ spacer. I decided to make a set of adapters out of a heavier material (304SS) and tighten up the tolerances inside the handle bars. The Ma's dull aluminum ones were very sloppy. I turned a new set out of 304SS and made a couple delrin washers, hopefully to cut down on vibration. I just installed them and the mirrors are rock solid to just at the rev limiter setting under my porch. I have not yet had a chance to ride it and realize that I may have done nothing but the prelim is that it may just work.
Here are a couple pics of the adapters and the washers.
Kury adapters Kury adapters2 The dimensions on the adapter are 1.320 long...the top section is .580 in diameter, by .750 long. The step down section is .470 in diameter (that is critical, it must be tapped into place this is what tightens up the whole assembly) by .570 long. There are two washers one for the top .580x.040x 5/16" ID and one that slides up onto the step .580x.040x.470 ID.
Will let you know how they perform on the street hopefully tomorrow.
