Welcome to the site. Good choice in the scooter. Removing the baffles will not damage the bike, but be careful when removing them because you can screw up the pipes if done wrong. I’ve heard completely gutted stock pipes and they do sound better but not offensive. However what isn’t offensive to me you might not like. It’s all a matter of personal taste.
