I'd have that AI yanked and the pipes & jets installed right off the bat. You'll be running the engine closer to the way it was really designed to run anyway. You'll still have to take it easy the first 500 miles - the break in wouldn't be any different, it would just sound and run better.
I changed mine before the break in period was up. I would have done it initially but they had to order the exhausts. When they came in, I got it changed. Had a little blueing from the first 300 miles or so, but I was able to clean it off with Semichrome. Has never been a bluing problem since.
