Walked into a Triumph dealer in Jacksonville Florida a few months back. Looked around at the stuff and a few bikes on the floor for about 10 minutes. Nobody even noticed I was in the building.
I always have a similar experience at my dealership. Once, I got tired of looking at the Triumphs, moved to the Guzzi's, then the Ducati's, then went home. No salesman in site.
I went today to look for a replacement Speedy for mine that was totaled last year. The "open house" was heavily advertised but actually very underwhelming. I think they are saving most of the festivities for Saturday, and that is mostly a ride put on by the RAT. I did get a free soda, after I asked for it and had already filled out a credit application!
Sucks the dealers aren't exactly "throwing down" for the open house, but I'm just happy I can buy a Triumph a few blocks down the road.
